My first cupcake commission!

I've just completed my first real cake order! It was an order of 50 decorated cupcakes for a champagne brunch company called 'Bachanal', with the theme of 'Mad Hatter's Tea Party'. Which went far more smoothly than I expected. However, they were picked up this morning for a function later on today and I won't have any idea of the reaction to them til tomorrow probably. Nerve-racking. But, it was a good learning experience and I'll put pictures up shortly!

Intro

This is my first ever blog! The general theme of all the blogs will, (despite the less than indicative title), be all about cooking! And my attempts at making passably good food. Being coerced by a friend into writing a list of 30 things to do before I'm 30 has probably been the catalyst to write this, since my number 9 was to master the favourite desserts of everyone I know and meet. And lord knows that I'll give up very shortly and probably nobody'll read it. But, whatever. Anyway. There's the intro, there you go. It'll get better, I promise.
